| Dough for mini pies |
An easy dough for mini savory pies, cheese pies, spinach pies etc. The easiest and most delicious dough you have made.
This recipe contains dairy. I would like to experiment in making it without, but for now, I will present this one.
Ingredients: (for about 45 pieces)
1 cup of margarine (melted)
1 cup of olive oil
1 cup (or bowl) strained yoghurt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon of salt
Flour, about 5 cups
Directions:
In a large bowl, add all the ingredients except of the flour. Mix well.
Add gradually the flour, cup by cup, until you make a dough soft and easy to knead.
Cover with a towel and let aside as long as you prepare the filling.
You can fill them with any savory filling you like. I mostly make them with zucchini or cheese or potato filling.
Next, take little balls of the dough.
Press each ball on the counter with your palm and fingers.
Put a small portion of the filling in the center and fold.
Press the folded edges with the tip of a fork.
Bake at 190-200°C (374-392°F) for about 20 minutes.
